“Most of the crêpes you’re getting are from France, you need a fork, spoon, knife, plate," said owner David Weng of Demarest, who opened his eatery over the summer.

"Over here the way we’re making it you can have it in a dessert form and a savory form,"

The savory side of the menu offers a variety of familiar concepts such as chicken teriyaki, BLT, smoked salmon in addition to gluten-free and vegetarian options.

The sweet side takes a more traditional approach like strawberry banana, but there's still room for experimentation with crepes like Matcha Azuki bean or blueberry New York cheesecake.

The variety of flavors has made the new spot a popular one in Fort Lee.

"Anytime I'm in Fort Lee I come here," West New York's Marilyn Pan said.

T-Swirl is a franchise-owned chain, the restaurant intends to open another location in Hoboken within the next couple months.

Weng wants to expand what's offered in his restaurant.

His T-Swirl Crêpe is connected with Tea Tapas, another restaurant owned by Weng that offers a variety of bubble teas and desserts. Weng hopes to expand his restaurant's palette and offer Hawaiian Poke by Feb. 2017.

T-Swirl Crêpe is located at 244 Main St, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.
